Mr. Nirmal Fernando, Partner of KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co. will take office as the Senior Partner of the firm with effect from April 2008. Nirmal counts over 42 years of service with the firm including 33 years as a Partner. Nirmal has been instrumental in managing the Audit practice of the firm for over a decade and was also |
responsible for leading the key client programme in Sri Lanka. He takes over office from Mr. Rajan Asirwatham who served the firm for over four decades and managed the firm in an intensely challenging time, which experienced increased regulatory requirements, changes in accounting practices and business competitiveness requirements.
Commenting on the future direction of the firm Nirmal Fernando stated that “KPMG Ford, Rhodes, Thornton & Co., will continue to maintain its direction with core focus on the firm’s clients, people, markets and CSR activities.
